We are called Fascinating Rhythm after the Gershwin song of the same name – a finely-tuned quartet featuring four of the Midlands’ most accomplished musicians.
Our aim is to bring the Great American Songbook, and jazz in its most accessible form, to new audiences, and seems to have struck a chord with those who aren’t necessarily out-and-out jazz fans but who enjoy hearing finely-crafted arrangements of familiar melodies in an informal setting

Aslockton rocked!! Really enjoyed your concert on the 16th Feb. Excellent musicianship from all. So impressed. This could easily have been a gig at the Montreal Jazz Festival (I’m an ex-resident of Canada) – and kudos for attempting to train the audience in the art of appropriate ‘jazz club’ clapping! Thank you so much for your vision of bringing jazz to the villages. And the CD is great, by the way!
